Rebecca Beagan

I have been very lucky to be in the teaching profession for 26 years now. I taught Grade 6 for 8 years on the Blood Reserve at Tatsikiisaapo’p School - Middle Plume School - and absolutely loved my time in Blackfoot territory. My exciting journey in Chinook´s Edge School Division has had me at two wonderful dual-track schools:  École John Wilson Elementary in Grade 1 F.I., and now at Steffie Woima Elementary in Grade 5 F.I.  My passions are kids of all ages, kayaking and anything French or First Nations. My students would tell you that they liked being in my classroom because it is a safe and caring place to have fun learning together.

When I'm not at work, I'm usually kayaking on rivers or lakes, reading mystery novels and busy being a single mother of two young children. I am a very family-oriented person and enjoy the open-hearted, kind and caring feel that Steffie Woima has. I sincerely believe that all of our children will have great success in life when they are raised by a village who celebrates who they are and acknowledges their innate awesomeness.
