Terry Fox Run
Steffie Students to Take Part in the 45th Annual National Terry Fox Run/Walk Thursday, September 18th beginning at 9:55am. Each grade will have staggered running times to help with congestion on the paths:
- Grade 6 Assigned Helpers and Kindergarten: 9:55 am
- Grades 1-2: 10:15 am
- Grades 3-4: 10:45 am
- Grades 5-6: 10:55 am
Classes will gather at the front of the school and begin their run at their designated time above. From there, classes will run on the CP Trail heading west towards the Vista. Each teacher will let their class know which loop they are running.
We invite our parents/families to join us to either run, walk, or watch. If you are joining, meet at the front of the school at your child’s designated time.
We kindly ask that pets are kept at home. The front loop will be blocked off from parking, as we need this as a safe gathering area for our students.
All children are encouraged to donate a toonie or whatever you are able. Money can be brought in on or before the 18th. We also have an online donation link this year https://schools.terryfox.ca/96572
Our goal once again is a Toonie a person or about $1000.00.
***Please ensure your Re-enrollment and Consent forms that were sent out by our office online in early September are completed so your child can join!***
Be sure your child wears proper clothing to run in, as well as outdoor running shoes.
The race will be held rain or shine! However, if the weather is very extreme, cancellation of the run will be posted on our SWES facebook page. Come and join us!
